Ashley Gustavo POV

Waking up with heavy eyebags underneath my eyes this morning was a horrible thing to start my day, but I shouldn't expect less when I barely slept all through the night, right? The night was said to be brief, but not when you have insomnia. Yesterday was my longest night ever.

I got out of bed with Asher on my mind, so I headed to his room to check on him.

I stood in front of his room, contemplating whether or not I should knock on the door. This man was the same person who told me yesterday that he didn't want to see me.

"He didn't say that he didn't want to see you. He simply said that he wanted to be alone, and I think it's normal," My subconscious mind reminded me, but still, he should've listened to me, right? I mean, I was worried about him.

I exhaled briefly and finally knocked on the door.

"Asher? Are you inside?" I knocked again for the fifth time when I didn't get a reply from him the first four times I knocked on the door, and just like before,
