My heart pounded hard in my chest and beads of sweat formed on my forehead as the incident from earlier replayed in my head. As much as I wanted to assume that he was trying to protect himself back there, I couldn't get over the fact that he shot someone to death right in front of me. I have always known that Asher had another side but this was the least of the things I ever expected of him. Seeing the other side of him earlier was something I couldn't was really scary.

"Is he fine?" I hated to be worried about him, but I guess it wasn't something I had control over. I was worried about him being hurt. He needed to go to the hospital for better treatment but he wasn't even listening to me.

"He said he would be fine. Stop worrying unnecessarily about him," I told myself and breathed out as I sank inside my bed and ran my fingers through my hair briefly. It felt like I was going to lose my mind or something.
