I was expecting him to say something, but he just pushed the car door open and stepped outside. He went to hop in the front seat and started the car. He drove off afterward.

Although I was disappointed, I still didn't regret telling him how I felt, I didn't regret confessing to him, and neither am I mad at him for being like this. He must've been shocked by the confession. Not everyone can take this as a normal thing to do.

"What if he has another woman?" My subconscious mind asked me as I stared at the back of his head from the backseat.

"That's not possible. Asher is a workaholic. He doesn't have the time to waste on women like that," I dismissed the thoughts even though I was aware that defending him wasn't the right thing to do. I mean, how sure I was that he didn't have another woman? How sure I was that the woman who called him earlier was not his girlfriend or even his fiancee?
