Chapter 18
Reese wakes the next morning in bed alone. Luca is gone. She reaches for his side of the bed and finds a note with a single white rose. Reese opens the envelope containing the note.
*The company car is here; your keys, credit card, and cell are on the bar. I will be by the studio to see you tonight. I will miss every moment we are apart*
Reese holds the note close to her and smiles. “I guess I am going back to work,” she says.
Reese gets out of bed and walks into the kitchen to fix her a smoothie. Kat and Roman are both in the kitchen.
“Hey guys,” Reese says.
The two of them are interlocked into each other. Roman cannot take his eyes off of Kat to even glance up at his sister.
“Hello, sister. I already made your smoothie for you. It is in the refrigerator.” Roman says.

Roman and Luca pull up to the R bar one hour after getting the text from Kat. “She is going to be pissed we came early,” Roman says.Luca doesn’t say anything. Roman and Kat go to the dungeon bar to get a drink and talk about everything that has happened between them. It takes Reese and Kat only days to put together the wedding. Reese and Kat bought everything in one shopping spree. Since they were using Luca’s house he took care of the decorations and caterer.Everyone from the studio and most of the Butterfly employees come. Reese wears a beautiful pale pink gown. Luca is Roman's best man he wears a black tux with a pale pink bow tie to match Reese.Kat’s dress is a beautiful fitted white dress with black roses stitched on to it. Roman and Kat are gone for two weeks. It is complete agony for Reese. She feels all alone in the world. She continues working at the studio but avoids Luca. If he comes to the studio she leaves for lunch or says she has a meeting. She will only speak to him through email or texts and never on her personal phone.She finally breaks down and tells Kat and Roman what happened the night before they come home. She did not want them worrying about her while Kat was transitioning into a vampire. The process is stressful enough.
