The cold floor became my companion for heavens knows how long. Everything was as it was when the drama started. The stuff from the supermarket lay close to the foot of the sofa, and my phone was in the same place that Natasha left it.

The only thing that shifted is the leftover wine that Natasha left behind. I drank straight from the bottle, hoping to get drunk and forget what just happened a few hours ago.

Yes, It’s over three hours since Natasha broke my heart with this news. I’ve spent the past three hours hating Xavier, thinking of possible ways to murder him.
