We were halfway through the meeting when Natasha rushed into the conference room. She looked around like a manic, her accusing eyes zeroing in on every board member in the room. “Does anybody want to explain why there is a meeting, going on in my company without my knowledge?”

Everybody began to murmur and being the lovely business partner and representative of the board, I stood to my feet and approached Natasha. “Didn’t your secretary call you?”

“I was an hour's drive away from the company.” She hissed through clenched teeth. “Couldn’t you all have that patience until I arrive before you start selling me off?”

Selling her off? Does she think that’s what this meeting is about? “Nobody is selling you off sister. As a matter of fact,” I gestured towards the board members. “I was actually singing praises to your name.
