I am more upset over the fact that I allowed Hailey to make Angela feel obliged to entertain her or maybe I’m angry because slowly, I’m dragging Angela deeper into my world, slowly tinting her innocence. The best option would have been to let her go not watch her walk down the aisle to meet me, but then I’m a selfish man; I do not make decisions that rational people make.

Misplacement of anger. I am angry no doubt, maybe a little bit at Angela for keeping this from me, but she’s not the sole reason for my anger, but I made her believe otherwise.

Carefully avoiding the broken pieces of glass scattered all over the marble, I rounded my desk and collapsed on my seat, feeling drained from the alcohol, anger, and pain.

Deciding to do a little work to take my mind off the event of the day, I turned on my laptop and clicked on my email. Thousands of unanswered mail flooded my inbox but only a few caught my attention and one of them was from Joshua Miller, my lawyer.
