Eulalia walked up to Benedict, her face a chilling blend of indifference and coldness. "Benedict, you say I'm the one who killed Dad. You think you can just shove the blame onto me and wash your hands of it? If you had half a brain, you'd have kept an eye on Dad instead of letting him sign that contract. He'd still be alive, and the Clearwater family wouldn't be ruined."

Benedict recoiled from her gaze, instinctively stepping back. His heart pounded with a mix of fear and agitation, like a beast stuck in the mud, struggling in vain.

The woman holding his hand felt his trembling. Facing Eulalia's icy questions, she too felt a sense of fear, relying on the man beside her for comfort. Now that she knew Benedict was also afraid, she felt a strong sense of disappointment. "What a useless man, scared of his own sister."

She squeezed Benedict's arm tightly. "She's just shifting the blame, twisting the facts."
