The unexpected

Sophia's POV

The news was more like a bombshell to me. I couldn't believe what the doctor said.

"Y...you mean to say that she is going to be paralyzed?" I asked out of concern as the doctor gave a nod.

"What? How's that possible?" I asked.

"The tumor has an effect on her in a bad way and that is why she would be physically paralyzed." The doctor said.

I felt so bad having to hear such awful news. I never wished for something like this to ever happen.

"So doctor what do we do now? Are you trying to tell me that there's nothing we can do right now?" Salvatore asked.

"Yes, there's nothing we can do for now, I'm sorry." The doctor said and left.

Salvatore turned to me. I slowly dropped my head down. The whole situation was like weighing me down, and it looked more as though I was guilty.

"Believe me Salvatore, I never did anything not her, all of this was a misconception." I said again.

"It's okay, we're still going to investigate this, I still don't understand what is happening you know
