19. The Truth Revealed
"Where's that Crazy Bear?" Amber muttered when she found Mr. Cold was no longer behind her back. Wrinkling her face, she sat up.
"Gosh! It's already 11 o'clock? I slept more than 12 hours?” the woman sighed while looking at the timepiece on the wall. Blinking in disbelief, she hurriedly folded the blankets. "This is terrible! That Crazy Bear will definitely scold me.”
As quick as lightning, Amber got up from the couch. Just at that moment, her eyes fell on a tattered sheet of paper on the table. "What's this?" With raised eyebrows, the woman read the written message.
"I've been waiting for you since early morning, but you didn't wake up. Now, I have to go alone to the big city.”
"He went to see Adam Smith without me?" Amber cried with wide eyes. “Tsk, I should have woken up earlier.” Grimacing, she continued to read.

Hearing Miss Lim's initiative, Adam furrowed his brows. "You're not a spoiled girl anymore, apparently." "Since in the first place, I wasn't. You're the only one who judged me that way," Amber replied as she grabbed the flashlight and patted Mr. Cold's arm. "Let's hurry!" Excitedly, the woman led the way. She didn't know that Adam was staring at the traces of her touch. “That girl … does she still not know? You always make a big mess in my heart, Amber." He followed as the sigh of despair escaped his mouth. While Adam was busy shoveling the snow that blocked the barn door, Amber looked up at the star-filled sky. Her face was sad and full of longing.
