Chapter 23 : Taking care of Monster

“Are you hungry?” asked Jack leaning on Val’s shoulder.

“Yes, I will order something or let Edward stay with you I will have something outside” said Val.

“Edward will bring our lunch. Just stay here” with that Jack called Edward ignoring Val’s protest.

After having their lunch. Doctors came to check on Jack. His condition is good and he can be discharged the next day. Val felt happy to hear that. She adjusted the bed so that Jack can sit leaning on the bed.

“I have to go back. I have lot of things to sort out. My dad is so angry with me. I still have lot of financial reports to verify.” said Val facing Jack.

“Can’t you just handover your work to someone. How can you leave me alone?” said Jack whining.

Val rolled her eyes at his dramatic expression. How can he be alone when he is surrounded by people where ever he goes.

“I can’t do that. Ty is having some issues so I am the one who is taking care of the company. Just give me sometime to figure out everything” said Val holding his hand
