Chapter 24
Det. Marvin Sullivan came back to the mansion to see if they missed something. He wanted to roam around the estate, especially the part directly behind Carlos' office. His men told the investigators that since Carlos and the girl entered the room, no one got in and out. Which means the killer could have climbed out of the window and used the exterior wall of the mansion.
He slowly combed through the southern part of the estate. Everything looked normal in Sullivan's eyes. Until he saw something hidden in the bush. When he picked it up, he realized that it was a syringe. Which confirmed their suspicion that Aguilar was paralyzed by poisoning before he was killed.
Aguilar's eyes were removed as well as his tongue. The killer obviously took time to kill him. Whoever the killer was, she wanted Carlos to feel every bit of the pain. All his injuries were non-fatal. His cause of death was blood loss.
