Chapter 38

Darson arrived at Amara's front door. He didn't tell Amara that he was coming because he wanted to surprise her. He even brought newly purchased books for Armaan. For some reason, he felt responsible for the child. Seeing him struggle, and how he tries to be strong, Darson felt like he wanted to help him. Now, his feelings is no longer just for Amara, it's for Arman, too.

"Darson, Amara is not here." Arman's shocked face is what Darson saw after knocking at the door.

"Hey, buddy. I brought you something." Darson showed the paper bags he's holding.

"Uhm, come in." Arman opened the door wider to let him in.

Both of them proceeded to the living room, where Arman was watching an action movie. Darson smiled when he realized that Arman is not like other kids. He doesn't like to play, or watch cartoons. He's way matured for his age.

"You like to read educational books, right? I bought these for you."

"Uh, thank you. Amara won't be back until tonigh
