Phillip noticed Donovan’s tense demeanor and leaned in. "You can't keep going like this. Do something."

Donovan nodded, his eyes still fixed on Boma. "You're right. Call the waiter."

Moments later, a waiter approached their table. Donovan leaned in, speaking quietly but firmly. The waiter nodded and hurried off. Across the room, Boma and her friends were in the midst of their revelry when the waiter appeared at their table, carrying a tray with drinks.

"Compliments of the gentleman in the VIP section," the waiter announced, setting the drinks down.

The girls exchanged excited glances. "Who is it from?" Queen asked eagerly.

The waiter turned to Boma. "From your husband, ma'am."

The thrill of the moment quickly evaporated for Boma, replaced by a sinking feeling in her stomach. The waiter then handed her a folded note. She recognized the handwriting immediately—it was just like the first time she met Donovan.

"It's D. Meet me. Section one of the VIP section. Now."
