At the first sight of Donovan, Boma's stomach tightened as if something was kicking in there. She placed her hand over her stomach and gasped.

Donovan studied her silently and thoughtfully. The sharp kicking disappeared as quickly as it had appeared. She let out a sigh of relief.

"Lose the act." He said matter of factly. "It's just me and you now. And I know you're fine. You're only pretending so you would not have to face my family, me especially."

She grew indignant at first. Realizing it was a self righteous reaction, she rolled off the sheets and sat up.

He took a couple of steps forward and stuck his hands in his pockets.

"I know that perhaps it's too much for you to face us all. So you're pretending to be sick. I too, I'm pretending to show the care expected of me, that's why I'm here.
