At Boma's revelation about her father's interest in the position of permanent secretary, a smile slightly widened Ronald's lips.

His eyes stayed intent upon hers, reminding her of Donovan. The man's charisma was staggering. No wonder he was Donovan's idol.

Donovan was studying her face as she interracted with his grandfather, his expression, neutral but she knew that his ears were attentive.

"Your boyfriend here has been telling me about giving him my slot. I had someone else in mind but since he mentioned your father, I have been considering submitting his name to the governor. Still I could not do that without first meeting you for your consent."

Boma's eyes rounded in surprise, hér gaze riveted between the two.

But she was speechless. Donovan was doing this kind of good to her father whom he had not even met?

She was lost for words and she was grateful. The men's pair of eyes were on her awestruck face. She kept her focus on Ronald and managed to find her voice.
