TWENTY-SEVEN
Chloe's P.O.V
I wiped the tears away from my eyes and walked back to the waiting room where Hayley and Silvia waited for me.
He doesn't remember me.
"Hey how'd it go?" Hayley asked as I went and took a seat beside her.
"He woke up," I said slowly.
"That's great, you must be so relieved!" Silvia spoke excitedly.
"He… doesn't remember me," I said slowly.
"What?" Hayley asked to repeat it again.
"I said he doesn't remember me," I explained, upset.
"What, why?" She asked outraged.
"I don't know, they are looking him over now," responded, numb.
"So he has amnesia?" Silvia asked, biting her lower lip nervously.
I shrugged.
How can he not remember me?
Doesn't he love me?
Is he going to go back to his parents?

Colby's P.O.V "Stop the car," I yelled feeling nauseous. Out of shock Hayley hit the break skidding to a stop. "What the hell man are you trying to die?" I opened the door and puked. "Are you okay?" Chloe asked, placing a piece of hair behind her ear and rubbing my back. Twins? "Y-yeah, s-sorry," I stuttered out still choking. "Its okay," she said softly, rubbing my back. "Maybe we should take Colby home and let him rest," Hayley said worriedly. "No, I'm fine." I said choking out as I wiped my mouth off. "-Just need something to drink," I added as I swallowed the rest of the bile in my throat, and closed the car door. "I could go for a drink, too, let's stop by cafe Boujero." Hayley said as she put the car into drive.

"Don't bull shit me Chloe, we all know you wanted to get back at them as much as possible I just did for you." Hayden said, rolling his eyes. "No, you just made more work for us, they are looking for Lucey's killer and you kidnapped another one of them, you're going to get us caught. "Unchain him," I ordered. "Wait, what? No way!" Hayden replied. I looked at Chloe to agree with me. "Let him down Hayden." Chloe said softly. I walked past all of them and took Chloe by the wrist and pulled her out of the Garage. "Ow Colby easy," Chloe whispered, once we were outside I turned towards her. "What the hell are you running here Chloe," I asked.

I looked over at Chloe, she was stunning her sky blue eyes and dark long hair complimented each other, exotic almost. She talked with Hayley as she rubbed her pregnant stomach, where the twins were growing inside her. She must be exhausted, I know how high stress this business is, I know why she did it but how did she succeed so brilliantly. "You love her?" He nodded towards Chloe in question. "More than anything," I replied. Jason stood there pretending not to notice, this guy seems over protective for someone who is only a friend. I woke up on the couch completely drenched in sweat, the leather stuck to my body like glue, I looked around, I was completely alone. Confused, I sat up, and noticed a note on the glass coffee table and picked it up to read. "Dear Colby, I went to work but I'll be back later, make sure to eat something, I love you." I sighed, and put down the letter, the thought of her eight months pregnant and still on her feet all day upset me. 'It should be me out there working instead of her, but we have enough money for everything we would need for the twins so I don't understand why she continues to work.' I got up off the couch and walked to the bathroom, and looked into the mirror. My hair was way past my ears at this point, my eyes were sunken in and my skin was pale. "We will just pick something up on our way home," Chloe says placing keys inside her pocket. "Oh that reminds me," Chloe begins looking over at Hayley. "Any chance we can take your car for now?" She asked cheekily, it was obvious Hayley sobered up quite quick for a moment. "-And who do you expect to drive, you don't have a driving license." She says strongly. Chloe points to me still smiling as cheeky as ever, I never saw her this way. "He just woke up from a coma, Chloe." She warned her slowly. "That's the one thing I remember how to do," I replied sighing, backing up my fiance.

Wow, I can really see the resemblance now. I snickered to myself for a moment forgetting to read the room. "Is this some fucking joke to you boy?" The man walking around the table to get to me, Jason was already between the two of us before I even took a step. "This ones all Chloe's I'm only here for support." I say serious. "However I am going to point out is that I can see the resemblances, yet the three of you never actually lived together, I guess this is a 'Nature vs. Nurture' thing." "I want a DNA test." Mr. Bayleigh whispered venom. "Okay that's fine where do we get one?" Chloe asked her hands in her pockets as Mrs. Bayleigh pokes and prods her trying to see what's what.
