Chapter 70

"He is not picking up," Luke said looking at Sarah as his face contorted.

"Don't look at me like that," she blurted. "I am not the one who's not picking your call." She added blinking at him.

He rolled his eyes at her and slapped his hand against his desk. He was still at home when he called the first time and Benson didn't pick up because he was busy. Now, Luke was already at work and Benson wasn't there yet. It had been more than an hour since he said he was on his way.

"Ugh," Luke sustained a grunt, drumming his fingers on the table.

"Where could he have gone to now? He never could help but stray…" Sarah asked kneading her temple with a finger.

"I wish I knew… We have to tell him," Luke gesticulated. "If this will work, we have to tell him as soon as possible and time is not on our side."

"Try him again," Sarah said, curling her fingers into a fist and gritting her teeth.
