"Rise and shine," Flynn said as he gently shook me by the shoulder. I groaned in protest and he chuckled. "You said that you wanted to be home by noon and it's almost ten right now." I looked at the things that were spread on my bed. In preparation for today, I had prepared swim trunks, sunscreen, a pair of glasses, an umbrella, a towel and my phone. I sighed and chewed the tip of my pencil as I stared at the math question in front of me. Today, the universe decided to be merciful by letting clouds fill the sky and ease the heat.
