I stared blankly at the ceiling as a frustrated sigh left my mouth. It felt like I was waiting for centuries and I was curious to know what they were talking about. 

I was currently laying on my bed as I let my thoughts wander. For every second that passed, my impatience grew even more. Why couldn't things be easier for us? Why did he let me leave? 

All these loops had my head spinning. My door suddenly swung open and I sat up quickly in hopes of it being Andre. Seeing my mother enter the room, I tensed up. 

"Where is Andre?" I asked and the look on her face made the knot in my stomach tighten even more.

She was angry, I could see it clearly, but she also looked disappointed. As though I had crushed all of her hopes and dreams for me.
