She Filled His Thoughts

“I need money to start my brand.” Kareen pouted.

As soon as she said that, Gerald pushed her off his thighs as his brows wriggled in annoyance. “Then why come to me?”

“What do you mean?” Kareen asked.

Gerald’s gaze moved from her face to the fingers she was fiddling with before moving back to her face again. “If you need money for a startup, why don’t you go to the back to secure a loan instead of coming to ask me for money?”

He was already pissed that she had to financially depend on him even with how broke he was. It made him wonder if she actually did care about him.

“Why should I go to the bank for a loan when I have you? Besides, we can partner and gain profits,” Kareen tried to suggest. But as she watched him shake his head in brutal refusal, rage rose from the pit of her belly. “Why not?”

“I am not interested in any business. Apart from your living expenses and our child’s health bills, I don’t have any extra money to spend.”
