CHAPTER 30: Home, A Place of Comfort.

--A week after Erica’s confrontation with Professor Sebastian

“Father, I’m home!” Erica excitedly announced this as she walked in the door. A maid immediately came and helped her with her bags.

“Welcome back, Miss Erica.” The maid greeted Erica as she collected her bags.

“Is my father home?” she asked, looking around.

“Yes, Miss Erica. Your father is in his room. He should be down soon. How was school?” the maid asked Erica.

“Um, you know the usual reading, lectures, and a whole bunch of school extracurricular activities.”

“That’s great, Miss Erica,” the maid said, a warm smile on her face.

“I hope it was fun, despite all the hard work.”

“Oh, it was definitely fun!” Erica said, her eyes sparkling. “But to be honest, it’s great to be home. There’s just something about the comfort of home that makes everything seem a little better.”

“I’m glad to hear you say that,” the maid said, nodding in agreement. "Now, shall I prepare you some dinner? Or would you like to rest first?”
