CHAPTER 71: The Space Between Us.

Sebastian returned to his office after lectures. He had noticed that Erica was avoiding him as she didn’t answer any of his calls and messages and also avoided him in class.

He couldn’t understand what he had done wrong. Did he make a mistake of being honest with her by telling her his secret?

Sebastian sat at his desk, staring at his computer screen without really seeing it. He was lost in thought, trying to figure out what he had done wrong.

Just then, there was a knock on his door.

Sebastian’s head snapped up, and he turned to face the door. He wasn’t sure who it could be, but he was hoping it was Erica. He had missed her so much and he wanted to apologize for whatever he had done wrong, and he hoped she would forgive him.

He opened the door, and to his disappointment, it wasn’t Erica.

It was his colleague, Miss Perkins.

“Miss Perkins? What brings you to my office?”
