Ashley could run for President and I’d be her campaign manager, that’s how proud I was of how quickly she handled Stephanie’s abuse case.

Within twenty four hours she’d terminated the manager’s contract, ordered the legal team to sue him for workplace assault, and granted Stephanie a paid leave where she would have bi-weekly appointments with a therapist the company paid for.

She was the woman of the hour.

After how she handled things, I was sincerely considering making intentional efforts to be friends with her, especially since I knew that the people she called ‘friends’ were just a jealous bunch.

Even now, as we walked towards the board room for a briefing concerning a new partnership, I couldn’t stop singing her praises.

“Stephanie’s mom keeps begging for your mailbox address, she wants to send you a handmade knitted sweater to show her appreciation and frankly I think you deserve a truckload of knitted sweaters,” I whispered as we neared the boardroom.
