“Did you notice something off with Dad?” I laid on my bed, freshly showered and in a change of clothing, staring at the ivory ceiling.
“Hm,” Ren hummed on the other line, “what do you mean?” The shuffling of plates and kitchen utensils in the background echoed, followed by Griffin’s voice.
“Zia!” he screamed on the phone. His voice never fails to put a smile on my lips. “Zia!” his voice is a bit closer now. Ren must’ve put me on speaker.
“How is my favorite man in the world?” I cooed, Griffin giggled.
“Papa, Zio Evan and I made a house,” he blabbered. He’s three years old now and like what Ren used to say, he’s growing up too fast.
