“Why isn’t he waking up yet?” I paced Evan’s room, biting my nails, while Ren’s jade eyes followed every movement I made.
Breaths of frustration flourished in profusion from my sister. She gave up on telling me to relax and now I want to hear her tell me to settle down.
It’s been an entire twenty-four hours and Evan hasn’t opened his eyes yet. I couldn’t close my eyes, even if my body was already screaming for some rest and a wink of sleep.
That is why Ren had to show up here, to convince me to go home. But I’m not leaving this place, not without Evan.
