~Cali~
Words aren’t enough to say how sorry I am, how much I regret my decision.
His eyes, so beautiful even in his sadness, lips quivering as I stare at him, offering myself for a dreaded punishment.
“Evan,” I repeated. His beguiling name should be a sin for me to even dare utter. I’m not worthy of this man, “forgive me.”
He hauled me, our lips colliding roughly, making me wince in pain.
A kiss of hellfire, filled with so much anger and passion... desire. His kiss is mad and needy, and I understand why.
Evan’s hands came around my nape, threading through my shoulder length hair. Pulling and fisting, the same rough gesture that I’m doing with his locks.
Hm... ;) ~ Hi, Lee Crystal and Felicia Toetoe, thank you for supporting our story. ~ My Princess is receiving so much resentment because of her decisions. But I still love her. Her vulnerability, and her willingness to make up for her mistake is what makes her even beautiful in my eyes. She’s been hurt and broken. Trusting me at such a strange situation is hard, but here we are. Finally together, the bumpy ride will begin. ~ yours, Evan.
~Cali~ With a smile on my lips, I beat the morning from dawning, a routine my body came accustomed to. Being a workaholic is something I inherited from my father. How I wish I also inherited his beautiful singing voice, even just an itty bitty piece of it. Barefoot, I padded to Evan’s ensuite to ease my bladder. While I washed my hands, I took a glance at my reflection in the vanity mirror. As usual, I’m the epitome of a mess. My hair that resonates that of a bird’s nest is my crowning glory. What surprised me is the glow present on my cheek. I have a fairly fair skin; I was never insecure about my color, but I always think that I’m a bit too pale. This morning though is a different story. There is this natural crimson paint on my cheeks, my lips pink and full from t
~Cali~Is it so bad that knowing his reason for staying away made my heart swell with happiness? I got him back and I’m never running away from him again. What he did should rub me in the wrong way. Instead of allowing me to decide on my own, he chose to decide for me, but no, I don’t find it offending at all. It’s too kind of him to put my reputation first before his feelings, like what he always did when we’re together. It only conveys that I meant more to him.On the island, he never goes to sleep before me, no matter how tired we were. When we ate that lobster he caught, he even separated the meat from the shell for me, even if I’m capable of doing it myself. Those simple things scream a lot about this man. Those little gestures of his t
~Cali~ “Did you notice something off with Dad?” I laid on my bed, freshly showered and in a change of clothing, staring at the ivory ceiling. “Hm,” Ren hummed on the other line, “what do you mean?” The shuffling of plates and kitchen utensils in the background echoed, followed by Griffin’s voice. “Zia!” he screamed on the phone. His voice never fails to put a smile on my lips. “Zia!” his voice is a bit closer now. Ren must’ve put me on speaker. “How is my favorite man in the world?” I cooed, Griffin giggled. “Papa, Zio Evan and I made a house,” he blabbered. He’s three years old now and like what Ren used to say, he’s growing up too fast. “House?” I inquired, waiting for Ren
~Evan~ I am too eager to get this problem fixed at a fast pace. Someone from the newly hired workers made a stupid mistake of using the wrong pipe for the plumbing system. Good thing Sander found out about it before they installed the one size too small pipeline throughout the entire first floor. It would cost us an immense problem if we didn’t see this oversight. All our employees focused on the piping for the entire Saturday to make up for the wasted time. Sander and I had to monitor everything first hand. This hotel is one of our new clients and we always aim to meet their standards and expectations, if not more. Sander stood beside me in our makeshift office trailer truck on the site, removing my hardhat, wiping the beads of sweat from the hard day’s work. We wer
~Cali~Looking up to Evan, his deep brown eyes pulled me into their welcoming abyss. I wonder if I heard him right or I’m just dreaming about this. This modern day Don Juan just asked me to be his girlfriend? That is the definition of ‘more’.My eyes searched his face for traces of humor. All I noticed is genuine fondness, something rare in people these days. “Princess…” he clutched the underside of my chin with his thumb and forefinger, giving me no choice but to behold his alluring gaze.“Are you sure you want me?” I have to be certain that this is what he wants. He made it clear since day one that he is not fond of commitments and I’m fine with what we have… wha
~Evan~She keeps on concealing the freckles on the slope of her nose, the tawny little mole on her lower lip. These imperfections make her perfect in my eyes.If only she sees what I see.I can admire these flaws in her sleep. Having her in my arms at night chased away my nightmares. She doesn’t know this, but she’s the first girl I ever asked to be my girlfriend. I was hesitant about asking her. I know the media painted a picture of me as the epitome of a womanizer. It dawned on me that she might say no and have our relationship as casual as the one we had on the island. People who know me might not believe this, but I’m willing to accept whatever she can give. Just as long as I can have her - even if it’s just a part of her.“Stop staring
~Evan~Things with me and Cali are falling perfectly into place. She’s the sweetest, naughtiest woman I have ever met in my life. Not a day has gone by since she became my girlfriend - even when I’m dead tired from work - did she ever fail to put a smile on my lips. Even if we are not together, she would send me pictures of her with little captions of sweet nothings. There was this one time when she sent me a picture of her hand with doodles of our names combined while she was at a board meeting. There are days when we can’t even talk over the phone because of our obligations with our companies. I tried to keep up with all her thoughtful acts, but damn, she is one hundred steps ahead of me.She amazes me all the freaking time. Like now, she booked a dinner for us since we haven’t seen each ot
~Evan~Cali was acting as if nothing happened yesterday. I am also acting as if I have no knowledge about what she planned with that dinner last night.“Got any plans today?” We’re having breakfast on the patio behind my place. She loves moving around the kitchen more than me. I do have to cook for myself if I want to live longer because I’ve been living on my own since I was sixteen. She gave life to my mechanical way of surviving.“I have to drop by the office and I’m free after that,” she said, sipping her coffee. “You?”It’s nice to have someone who’s curious about my plans for the day and also ask me how my day was when I got home.Is this what Devin has w
