Roadblock

Eve's jaw dropped to the ground, staring at him, did she hear him right?

She was with him all along and had no clue who he was.

“Surprised?” He brought her jaw together and held her face with his warm hands.

“A little bit.” She straighten up, and his hands left her face.

“So if you’re gonna kill a man like Dust, you might not need a gun.”

“What do I use then?”

“Your hairpin.” He stretched and took them from her hair, her hair fell on her shoulders. He held the pin and pressed them to her hands.

“This is what you’ll do.” He led her hands to the side of his neck. “You stab here.” He placed the pin in the spot, Eve's hands shook lightly when he let go of her hands and she was aiming the pin at his neck.

She quickly withdrew her hands and kept the hairpin on the table.

“Don’t forget that.” He warned Eve and nodded curtly while staring at her hands. Wesley pushes the chair back and stood up.

“Have your breakfast.” He packed the papers from the table and turned to leave.
