Chapter Thirty Two

Something cold and wet wiped itself along Elaina’s cheek as she began to come to.  Pain seared its way through her whole body.  

Groaning Elaina lifted an arm and tried to ward off whatever was touching her.

She felt her hand make contact with something almost as soft as velvet.  Eyes flying open she found herself face to face with the creature that had come to her side before she passed out.  

As she moved her hand along its side a happy chortle escaped its lips.  The creature stuck out its long snake like tongue and ran it along Elaina’s cheek.

“Stop that.” Elaina sighed trying to shoo the creature away from her.

It scuttled back just a little bit its nose twitching as it watched her.  She watched it carefully not really sure what to think.  

Cocking its head to the side the creature took a few tentative steps towards her, only to scuttle back again as the pounding of footsteps mad
