Esme I watched from my window as Vaccaro’s car pulled out of the driveway. He and his parents had been here a week. I somehow kept my identity a secret from him while he was here. Oh, he saw me multiple times, but I had covered my scent with a special spray. I was walking in from outside the day he arrived.
