Once Malachi left that night, I got up and started cooking dinner. I knew that Samyra would be home soon. She and Nalena went out somewhere to practice their magic. I am not sure if Emerald went with them or not. I am hoping not since her powers can be traced more easily than the other two. The other possibility is they went to the shop to work on how they were going to decorate it. They offered Samyra a job as a hostess/waitress. I was happy to hear this since I knew Samyra wanted to do something to get out of our cottage. I hear the front door shut. I smile when I feel two small arms wrap around my waist. Her arms don’t make it fully around me. She is taller than the other women but still tiny compared to me. I am so thankful for her forgiveness of my past. She wasn’t happy that I was the way I was, but she wasn’t exactly a virgin either. We have talked several times, and I believe we have worked everything out.

“What are you making?” Samyra asked.

“Chicken Al
