Emilia’s POV

A few hours later, the door opens to reveal the doctor. A good looking middle aged man who looked tired.

He takes his glasses off, handing his notepad to the nurse that followed behind.

“Chris, how is she?” Mr Richard hurries over to him, the rest of us following behind. Seeing how they were on first name basis, it only meant that they were close acquaintances.

“She is stable now. You brought her in just in time. One more minute and the story would have been different.” The doctor said with a sad smile.

I let out a breath I didn’t know I was holding, my entire body shaking from the relief. I take a quick glance at Liam to see that he had the same look on his face.

“Thank you so much, Chris. Thank you.” Richard breathes out, giving the doctor a light tap on the shoulder.

“Lucia is like a sister to me, Richard. Of course, I’ll always do my best to make sure she’s alright. You can go in to see her in a few minutes.” Doctor Chris says before leaving, a trail of nurses f
