Chapter 53

Mia's Pov

Anastasia, Julia and I decided to bake a cake since we were bored and I was in the mood for something sweet. Well it was mostly Anastasia and me doing the work. Julia just decided it would be best if she sat on the island and continued munching on the apple. She quoted ‘at least that way the pack wouldn't end up in flames.’ I don't even want to imagine what the pack would have gone through the last time Julia decided to make something.

“Are you sure this is going to be enough?” Anastasia frowned looking at the tiny cap she filled with vanilla essence.

“Yeah, just make sure it's not too much. It'll make the cake bitter,” I responded, keeping my focus on beating the eggs until they were nice and frothy.

“Umm,” I heard the doubt in Anastasia's voice. “How much is too much exactly?”

“A teaspoon is good.”

“Ok,” she whispered, still seeking uncomfortable with just adding the vanilla essence to the eggs.

“Oh come-on Ana, it's not that difficult.” Julia hopped off the island
