Chapter Fifteen

In the following days, I was constantly on edge, fearing that Demetrius would unexpectedly appear and take me away like he did before. I considered confiding in Giselle, but ultimately decided against it, as I couldn't trust anyone, not even her.

Strangely, I kept thinking about informing Reuben about what had happened. Did he know that his brother was too preoccupied with scheming against him?
