Damon’s POV

[Find her, now!] I cut off the mindlink, striding to the gate as fast as I could without showing my panic.

If all Dahlia wants is coming to talk then it won’t be a big issue. My only worry is her safety on the way over. They want to do something to Dahlia while I’m stuck here at the party. I have to go!

“Alpha, where are you going?” Lola catches up with me when I maneuver through the crowded lobby. She hooks her arm with mine, pulling me backward with an awkward smile as she hisses at me with a low voice, “You need to make the announcement now!”

“Not right now, I’ll be back,” I throw her arm off mine, heading for the door.

“You are going for HER, aren’t you?” Lola stops, standing there with a cold glare at me. A strange shade of viciousness and desperation in her voice. A voice that I have never heard from her.

I turn to look at her slowly. My blood ran cold.

It WAS her! She knows what’s going on.

She knows where Dahlia is.
