Chapter 3: Warm Welcome

(Ares POV)

I entered in the pack and the guards greeted me with warm smiles. I didn’t inform anyone about my arrival because I wanted to give them a surprise. I wanted to see the waves of happiness on their faces, especially my mother’s and brother’s smiles. I happily walked towards the packhouse. I was not a bad-looking person at all. I was 5’9 with blonde hair and baby-blue eyes. Although, I have a well-built body but on the leaner side. I have a narrow waist and a fair complexion. My brother Rowan was a bit different than me as he was quite a looker. He has 6’3 height with light blue eyes but a tan complexion. His hair was dirty brown just like my father's. He was the favorite son of my father from the start but It didn’t ruin our brotherly bond. My body was buzzing with happiness and energy, I have so many plans for my brother’s wedding. I hope he will be the same as before otherwise, I will lose another loved one and I am not ready to lose him and his support.

The door was open as always and I entered without making a noise but the loud voices coming from the lounge caught my attention and I stopped in my tracks. My grip tightened around the bouquet that I bought for my mother aka Luna Athena.

“No! I will not allow that piece of a sh*t to attend this ceremony and that’s final. I don’t want to hear anything on this topic again,” My father’s angry voice boomed in the lounge.

“Dad! Ares is my brother and how can I got married without my brother. He will be my bestman and I want him to attend this marriage. I have already invited him on this occasion,” Rowan’s pleading voiced echoed and It seems like he will start begging for our father’s permission if he have to.

“Rowan! Look, I know you loves your brother alot but you have to understand one thing that he is a psycho case. What if he started flirting with any alpha or any honorable person attending your wedding. It will create a chaos and I don’t want to ruin your big day,” He tried to reason with him and tears rolled down my eyes. How can he think this low about his own child? He is referring me like I am mentally ill just becaseu I am not like them…becasue I am unique and have different sexual orientation. I have never thought that he will treat me like this even after so many years but he proved me wrong.

“I will not attend this marriage ceremony if my son is not allowed to attend it,” My mother said in a determined voice and then an eerie silence stretched in the pack house. It was all happening because of me…I am such a peace wrecker.

“Fine! He can attend this marriage but tell him to not show his disgusting face to me otherwise, I will lose my temper. Also advised him to act like a gentleman in the ceremony not like a rabid dog, who is ready to pounce on every people,” My dad said and stomped his foot in anger before heading towards his office. I can see retreating back form this point and I take a deep breath to compose myself. I don’t want to show my tear strickedn face to them because I mastered one thing in the past four years…to mask my emotions in front of everyone. I don’t want to show this world that I am weak and easy target, so they can walk all over me. I gave them an impression of ‘Not mess with me’ and they back down without putting up a fight. After taking a few deep breaths, I entered i nthe lounge with a big fake smile plastered on my face.

“Good Noon to all of you,” I greeted them in a cheery voice and they all turned towards me with surprising smiles on their faces.

“ARESS!!! Oh My God, Such a lovely surprise,” Rowan shouted in excitement before hugging me and twirling me around.

“Oh my god! Put me down, You silly boy,” I slapped on his shoulder and we both laughed loudly when he put me back on my feet.

“This is for you, The most gorgeous and lovely lady on this planet,” I said while giving the bouquet to my mother and putting a hand on my chest to bow a little. She giggled after looking at my style.

“Hmmm! So this handsome boy is trying to impress me,” She asked with an arched brow and I nodded before letting out a carefree laugh. Goddess! I missed them and their smiles a lot.

“Wow! You should inform us beforehand, so we will come to receive you at the airport,” My mother said while taking a seat on the couch beside me.

“You are right! But, I wanted to see this excited and charming smile on your face. That’s why I didn’t tell you beforehand. Tell me, am I successful in my mission or not?” I asked in a cheery tone.

“100 and 10% successful, Brother! I didn’t even select the color of my tux because I wanted to match my outfit with you, so I have plenty of pending works and you have to help me in every single of them,” Rowan warned me with a pointed finger and I nodded like an obedient child in agreement when the head omega came with drinks for us. I was already feeling thirsty and also need something to divert my attention from Dad’s words.

“Thanks for the coke, Mira,” I said and the head maid smiled before going back to the kitchen.

“I am here to help you with everything, Brother! Just give me an hour to freshen up and take a cat nap to recharge my energy and then we started finishing every single task one by one,” I suggested and he quickly agreed to it. I finished my drink and asked Rowan to show me my room.

“Nah! You are not staying in any guest room. I have already cleaned your room and it is more than ready for you,” My mother informed me and I thanked her wholeheartedly before heading towards my room. I don’t want to go to my room directly because My father’s office was also located on the same floor but I have no options left, so I dragged myself towards it. I really missed my room in this time span.
