Chapter 37

Alpha Nathan walked over to me, a smug expression on his face. "I just wanted to show you something," he said, his voice laced with amusement.

I glared at him, not believing a word he said. "What could be out here that you couldn't show me in town?"

He ignored my question and instead walked ahead, gesturing for me to follow. Reluctantly, I did as he asked, feeling a sense of unease settle over me.

As we walked deeper into the forest, I couldn't help but notice how quiet it was. The only sounds were the crunching of leaves beneath our feet and the occasional bird chirping in the distance. The trees towered above us, casting shadows on the forest floor.

I shivered, feeling exposed and vulnerable in this unfamiliar environment. I had never been a fan of the outdoors, preferring the safety and comfort of my own home.

Alpha Nathan seemed to sense my discomfort and he turned to me, a small smile playing at the corner of his lips. "Don't worry, I won't hurt you," he said softly.
