CHAPTER THIRTY-FIVE (The Savior)

Lucas was the coldest man I have ever seen. I couldn’t believe that after such a brutal event, he shoved his hands inside his pocket and walk away like nothing really happened. I was so weak to call his name, and even so, weak to walk, thanks to the bodyguard who supported me to the car.

I have plenty of words for Lucas, words I would love to talk to him about. But I wasn’t sure of myself having the courage to talk to him.

“Make these men regret ever coming up against me,” Lucas said to Mr. Philip, pointing at Buzz’s men, who were kneeling before him. I had it in my subconscious that Lucas had the physical strength to fight ever since our encounter on the day of the grand finale, I also knew that his family was powerful, but I just didn’t know how socially powerful he was himself. No one in the country could boast of having a private military battalion that answers to his name. But still, Lucas commands a troop of a private army. He was indeed powerful.
