"So he pushed her off the staircase?" Harriet asked, her eyes fixed on Alexander.

He nodded, biting his lip in an attempt to calm the anger brewing inside him.

"Yes, and he's also the one who leaked the news to the media," he confirmed, his gaze shifting downwards as his mind wandered back to that fateful night.

"Maybe if I had let her come with me like she suggested, none of this would have happened," he said aloud, a bitter feeling washing over him.

Charles spoke softly, his gaze fixed on Alexander. "What happened to Camilla wasn't your fault," trying to offer comfort.

"I lost a child... okay," Alexander's voice cracked, the struggle to hold back his emotions evident.

Tears welled up in his eyes, threatening to spill, but Alexander refused to let them fall.

Alexander's narrowed eyes conveyed raw frustration as his voice grew intense.

"So, don't come here telling me it isn't my fault because it is," he asserted, his words carrying a mixture of anger and anguish.
