Chapter Twelve

I sunk back into the chair, desperately hoping the leather would open up and swallow me whole. I'd said with my own mouth that I would let him touch me after we were officially married and now I wish I could take back my words. From my peripheral vision, I saw Nikolai looking at his phone and typing as if he hadn't just said the dirtiest things a man could utter.

It wasn't as if I hadn't had sex before. Even I don't know why I'm so scared of sex with Nikolai. I ran my hand through my name ruffled hair as I tried to think of ways to escape. Very soon, we arrived at the mansion and I started shivering. I ran ahead of Nikolai to the room and upon getting in, I ran to the bathroom.

Minutes later, I heard the room door opening and footsteps falling. The footsteps stopped directly in front of the bathroom door and my heart beat increased. After that, I didn't hear anything again so I slowly calmed down. I undressed slowly then entered the bathtub to have my bath.
