Chapter 31

POLLEN'S POV

It was night already, and the sound of the rain drizzling against my window made it all the more unbearable. I hate the rain, it reminded of memories I want to never think of, things I want to forever forget.

I turned over on my bed, trying to get comfortable. But every move I made worsened my situation, so I turned on the lamp by my bed. My phone was on the lamp stand as well. A habit I’ve picked up since I got here. As it was now too late to ask the maids for anything, something I didn't even want to do if not for Raymond, I decided to get myself a drink.

I snuck out of bed and and quietly walked downstairs. The lights were all off except one room upstairs, where I could hear Raymond's voice. He was probably on one of those endless business calls.
