“Scarlett...”

She was about to walk in through the doors of Grayson Industries when someone called out to her. She turned around sharply to see someone holding a large bouquet of balloons and a box of chocolates in their hand. It was hard to see their face. She glanced behind her to see if there was someone else who was also named Scarlett.

“Me?” she asked quizzically.

He let out a deep chuckle, “Is there another Scarlett?”

She shook her head in disbelief. Of course, she recognized that voice. “Jaxon...”

He moved the balloons to the side. “Good morning, Scarlett.”

She nodded in response. “Good morning,” she rubbed her cheeks nervously. “Is there any chance in hell that the ridiculously large balloon bouquet is not for me?”
