Lazarus

The hall was dark, as I and Thomas walked along it. The party had just ended moments ago.

"But she had obviously looked pale, according to what her friend had told me." Thomas protested.

I had tried catching a glimpse of her throughout the party, but it hadn't worked. When I had finally seen her, she'd been dancing with Rory.

I had excused myself from the party, and upon returning, had bumped into Thomas.

"She's fine. If she isn't, Rory would have alerted us. You know that." I tried acting indifferent.

"Yeah." We walked on, the only noise on the pathway, were those of our shoes meeting the ground.

But, we weren't ready for the sight that greeted us when we opened the door. I gasped, and noticed that Thomas breathing came out in short raspy motions.

"The hell, man?" Before I could stop myself, the words were out. Cuddling Elise right on her bed, with the most serene look possible, was Rory.

He hadn't, hell, none of them noticed our intrusion.

"Let them be," Thomas said
