Rae’s POV Katy and I make it back to our house in time for dinner. The house smells heavenly as I step through the door. It seems that Mama wanted to make my favorite meal; chicken alfredo with broccoli florets. Rae’s POV I can’t seem to keep the happy smile off of my face. I turn 18 in less than an hour. I carefully make my way to mine and Chris’ spot. I wonder if he made it before me. I spent more time at home that I suspected. I can’t wait to see what crazy idea, of food, that he decided to bring this time. I wonder if I am even going to be able to eat it at all. I stop for a second as I feel weird for a moment. A slight dizziness has me leaning against a tree. I take a few deep breaths before I slowly release it. What was that? I shake my head and continue to my walk, a little slower than I was. If I’m getting sick, maybe we shouldn’t stay out here all night. I hear commotion, a short distance from the lake, and come to a stop. Something doesn’t feel right. I hide behind a tree to take in my surroundings. I don’t know why I have a sudden fear. Toby’s POVI didn’t see the fist that came at my face in time. The jolt to my jaw caused me to lose my balance. It hurt, and surprised me, but not as much as the feeling that I just felt. Fear. Rae’s POV I wake up feeling extremely warm. I stretch my arms to feel them smack into something hard. Jolting up in bed, I glance and see that Chris is laying beside me, with his arm wrapped around my waist, and I begin to panic. We are in my room but I don’t remember how we got here. I glance down, sighing, and notice that I still have my clothes on from yesterday. I don’t know what I would have done if I had to explain that I didn’t remember my first time with him. Laying on my bed, I feel a sudden pain in my head. It pulses and squeezes. I holler out, the pain so intense that I see stars, and grab my head. I can hear someone knock on my door but I am too incapacitated to move. I can feel the tears slipping from my eyes but I am unable to move and do something about it. Suddenly, the door bursts open and someone grabs a hold of me. I hear a female voice say, “Oh, no it’s starting. We need to get this done.” I recognize the voice but I can’t place it.
