Evie rolls her eyes and looks back at Alec’s messages.

"I shouldn’t accept. Yesterday Ruby and I finally got along. I should go out with him and not with another man.”

Evangeline’s greatest wish was to tell her friend that he was not the prince she appeared to be. That he was actually crazy enough to buy a piece of land to get a woman stuck with him.
