All the houses were exactly the same and were in the same place as the trailers. A white fence, living room, kitchen, dining room and bathroom downstairs; two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. All had a beige tone and a greyish roof.

"Your house is facing mine!" Felippa celebrates, embracing Evangeline. "Everything is so beautiful. I can’t believe we finally have a real home.”

Evie turns to face the house and as Felippa chatters, her mind wanders. She can’t help but think of Leah. Although she was never a good mother, Evangeline was the perfect daughter. In addition to becoming a successful musician, she also dreamed of living in a house and having Leah by her side.
