Devin' POV:

I didn't mean to say that to Irene, I just wanted to say that she didn't have to thank me because I didn't do anything, and it was her who deserved the admiration. Not me.

But when the words came to the mouth, the meaning had completely reversed.

"If that's the case, I won't bother you anymore. I wish you a good night, Mr Devin!" She roared at me with her eyes red, and she was trembling faintly. Then, she turned and left.

She was mad. Really, really mad.

Seeing her faintly walking away, I wanted to stop her, hugged her and explained to her, and I did. Her legs hadn't fully recovered yet. With such a pull, she immediately fell into my arms.
