I felt scared, alone in the police station that seemed to be busy with their work, as well as several other people who seemed to be arrested like me. I fiddled with my fingers with an uneasy feeling, looking for a delicate part that I could pick off my fingernails and remove to distract myself.

This was the first time I had ever been to a police station. In my entire life, I've never been in a place like this for as long as I can remember.
