Chapter Ninety-Eight

Few weeks passed and everyone still maintained peace in the house. Sam had genuinely changed for the better. She respected Roshni a lot now and Roshni also respected her the same way, but something seemed off with Sam. I noticed she became more secretive and into herself. I asked Roshni if she knew anything going on with her, but she didn't.

I was still in the middle of sorting out some files in the office when Roshni's call came in. I received the call smiling. I placed the phone between my shoulder blade and ear and continued with what I was doing.

"Missing me?" I asked, cheesily.

"Terribly. When are you coming home? I have something very important to tell you." I could sense her excitement from the other side of the phone.

"Later. I still have lots to do here," I answered.

"Can't you hasten things up?" She asked.

"Unfortunately, I can't. Don't worry, I will be home before you know," I tried to convince. "- bye."

"Alright then," she said. I could hear disappointment in her
