Chapter Ninety-One

We walked into the house and met mom and dad in the living room watching a movie together. They were very surprised, but happy to see Sam again. Dad walked over to her and engulfed her in his embrace.

"We're so sorry, baby," dad pulled back and kissed her forehead.

"No dad... I should be the one apologizing for all I did in the past," Sam answered.

"Everything you did was in the past and we already forgave you, but accusing you of having a hand in Roshni's kidnap is outrageous. Uncalled for," dad spoke. "- we are so happy to have you back."

"Thanks, dad," Sam replied.

I smiled staring intently at the both of them reuniting. It was a sight to witness. My gaze darted to mom. She was just standing in her spot not looking remorseful for the false accusation on Sam.

I went over to her and encouraged her to speak to Sam which she did. She went and stood in front of Sam.

"So you've decided to come home?" Mom asked. Oh! I expected her to be nice but mom, she's unpredictable at times
